•New vintage of this Aussie blockbuster - from the crew that brought you Johnny Q and Shot in the Dark
•Trophy and Gold medal winner - Riverland Wine Show
•Lush, flavoursome and definitely more-ish!
If you're a fan of Shot in the Dark Shiraz (and we know heaps of you are, it's one of our top selling reds!) then you'll love this. Made by the same crew, from the same region, the wine's are very similar.
The last vintage won plenty of praise. The new 2010 has rolled off the boat from South Australia with shiny new Trophy and Gold medal stickers proudly slapped on it. It scooped Trophy and Gold for "Best Dry Red" at the Riverland Wine Show, scoring a pretty mean 56 out of a possible 60 points!
This is lush, flavoursome and definitely more-ish! Goes hand in hand with sizzling red meats hot off the grill.
Glossy garnet-red colour and oozes attractive aromas of raspberry coulis,
cherry and dark chocolate. In the mouth expect lavendar and dried thyme, supple, easy tannins and a smooth, warm finish.
Drink with chargrilled eye fillet wrapped in prosciutto on garlic mash.
Lifted dried herb, blackberry and peppercorn aromas lead to a lush, spicy, cranberry infused medium-bodied red with a slippery-smooth finish.
A good match for herb-crusted lamb racks and rosemary roast potatoes.
Deep ruby, bright clarity. Extremely fragrant with violet florals, licorice and mocha notes. Beautifully fruited mid-palate which is extremely textural and has complex red and dark fruits complemented by hints of oak spice and fine tannins. The finish is extremely long and balanced.
This classic Central Ranges Merlot oozes berryfruit, coffee, and vanilla bean. The toasty oak aromas compliment the powerful fruit beautifully. Savour the rich leathery texture as the dark chocolate flavours melt in your mouth to finish of this delicious Merlot. An exceptional wine from an exceptional producer!
The aromatics are ripe red fruits, intense raspberry and cassis, supported by well integrated oak. Delicious ripe strawberry on the palate with a touch of cherry and hint of dried spice. Enjoy with rich flavoursome food, but as with all great Pinot Noirs, avoid tomato base sauces.
Angus the Bull is a one-wine wine company dedicated to creating the perfect vinous accompaniment to prime beef. Brilliant! Why didn't someone else think of this? And the best part is that it is a fantastic wine and has succeeded resoundingly in its quest.
'The 10th release of this self-styled steak wine from Hamish McGowan's Aberdeen Wine Co is brightly coloured, smells of mulberry, blackberry and olive, and the taste is admirably fruit driven, with blackberry flavour galore.
Blackberry aromas are backed by spice and toasty oak, the fruit-driven palate showing distinctive, spice-spiked plum flavours complemented by a suave mouthfeel, supple tannins and a lingering aftertaste.
Made by Jean-Claude Mas, aka ?The Humble Winemaker'. An elegant, medium-weighted wine, this has softly expressed blackcurrant, plum and herb flavours showing some sweetness and lift. Moderate tannin extraction provides grip and structure, with good acidity lends freshness and some length. Match with pasta, grilled and roasted red meats
