Stoke Nelson Pale Ale 6pk Bottles 330ml

The perfect companion for a sun-drenched Tuesday afternoon. Or any other day for that matter. Session beers were first brewed for their low alcohol content and uncompromised flavour, the result of lofty tax rates and government rationing during WWI. But low alcohol doesn’t have to mean less flavour, and the Nelson Pale Ale certainly isn’t lacking in any of the good stuff. Riwaka and Galaxy hops provide a strong, clean bitterness that makes this aromatic session ale easy drinking and refreshing. ABV:4.2%

CrossRoads Milestone Series Pinot Noir 750ml

The moderate and dry temperatures of summer ripened the fruit beautifully with harvest commencing on 28th March. Once at the winery, each batch of Pinot Noir was dealt with individually to emphasize the unique characteristics of each vineyard block. Once the primary fermentations were complete, all batches were put into French oak barriques of which twenty percent were new. Once in barrel, the wine was chilled and stored for the winter. With the onset of spring, the barrels were warmed to encourage natural malolactic fermentation. Following seven months in oak the wine was racked from barrel, blended before fining and then bottled. This expressive Pinot Noir has lifted aromas of black plums and violets. Ripe berry fruit flavours combine with savoury notes on the palate to produce a wine that is both elegant and approachable. A great accompaniment to lamb, duck or pork dishes.

Elephant Hill Sauvignon Blanc 750ml

This 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is made from 9 separate hand picks of Estate-grown fruit. The grapes were hand-sorted and gently whole-bunch pressed. The natural yeast ferments were kept separate and at cool temperatures. They were then blended and retained on fine lees for 3 months to enhance the texture and complexity of the wine. The nose displays citrus blossom and wild herb characters. The palate perfectly balances flint and wet-stone minerality with flavours of lime and gooseberry. Racy acidity complements the slight retained sweetness to create a classical Te Awanga Sauvignon Blanc we are proud to share with you.
