The fruit is hand-harvested, whole-cluster fermented and hand-plunged in open-top fermenters, thus starting 'The Journey' in a truly traditional manner. Following maturation in French oak puncheons, the wine is then bottled unfiltered and unrefined, retaining the elegant nuances and complexities of the vintage. The resulting Pinot Noir truly expresses and reflects the care and intensive attention given to it throughout it's journey from vine to wine. Wild berry and dark cherry fruit flavours mingle with a stem-derived, forest-floor savouriness that is subtly nuanced by the sweetness of smoky toasted oak. A velvety, refined tannin structure gives way to a firmer, long and dry spicy finish.
