TASTING NOTES: Lindauer Enlighten Sauvignon Blanc shows bright acidity, freshness and great length. Lemons and limes fill the start of the palate, while tropical and stonefruits give great balance to the middle and end. DESCRIPTION: Color: Pale Straw Aromas: Bursting with the whole flavour spectrum expected from a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: from crunchy greens through to ripe passionfruit and intense stonefruit. Palate: The palate bursts with citrus flavours lemon and lime, along with passionfruit and subtle hints of ripe apple. CELLARING: Lindauer Enlighten Sauvignon Blanc is designed to be enjoyed upon release and is best whilst the fruit flavours are fresh and vibrant. Enjoy it chilled! HARVEST NOTES: Marlborough's hot summer daytime temperatures and cool night-time temperatures are very well suited to growing Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The large difference in temperature between day and night are what gives Marlborough its distinctive fruit flavours. Crisp acitdity is held onto while ripe flavours come through in the fruit. FERMENTATION NOTES: The grapes were machine harvested to capture the best balance between flavour, acid and sweetness. The berries were pressed then settled, then selected yeast strains were used to convert the sugar into alcohol and produce rich ripe flavours, yet a lower alcohol than the standard Lindauer Sauvignon Blanc.
