The 2017 Pommard Les Argillires 1er Cru, which contains 5% whole clusters, has a pure black cherry and boysenberry bouquet; touches of crushed violet come through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a little more forward than the Beaune les Epenottes. Quite smooth, with just a dab of licorice toward the finish. 88-90 Neal Martin VINOUS
