Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fruit, vanilla and carmel

Palate: Medium bodied with flavors of oak, toasted nuts and vanilla.

Finish: Robust, medium long and warmly rounded.

MIDNIGHT MANHATTAN

Baker has always been a night owl. In high school he worked at the Beam distillery as a nightwatchman before working his way up to night-shift supervisor. It’s only right that this cocktail is a tribute to his favorite time of day – night.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 parts Bakers Bourbon
• 1 part Averna Amaro
• 1 dash Angostura Bitters
• 1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters
• Amarena cherries for Garnish

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until well chilled.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe.
4. Garnish with an Amarena cherry.

BAKER’S BOULEVARDIER

Booker Noe and Baker Beam were cousins, much like the Boulevardier cocktail is cousin to the Negroni. Smoother, more well-rounded, a little less bitter and with a splash more bourbon, which helps Baker’s bourbon flavors shine through.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 parts Bakers Bourbon
• 1 part Sweet Vermouth
• ½ part Campari Liqueur
• 1 dash Orange Bitters
• Orange Peel for Garnish

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients in mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until well chilled.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
4. Express orange peel for oils and garnish.
