Crafters Union Pinot Noir 750ml

This Pinot Noir has it all. With heady aromas of fresh raspberries and blackberries, the palate shines with cherries and super soft tannins. The result is a wine rich in character and smooth on the finish. Depth, finesse and distinctively Central Otago. Warm fermentation followed, with regular mixing to extract maximum flavour and colour from the skins. 100% malolactic maturation adds complexity to this Central Otago Pinot Noir, and with a soft tannin structure, this wine is approachable while young. Mostly from the continental McArthur Ridge in Alexandra, the slopes in this region provide ideal sun exposure for our vines. Grapes were destemmed in field during harvest and spent an average of 16 days on skins, uncrushed, to develop the complex berry fruit flavours.

Scott Base Emperor Methode 750ml

Stand tall and prepare to bow. You always know when royalty is in the room. Central Otago Methode Traditionnelle is not well known. This is because the producers and those in the know generally drink it all before the general public gets a whiff of it! But finally, the volumes are getting to the point where producers are willing to let a few bottles slide out the cellar door to the discerning buyer! It is elegance, excitement, and a sense of raw wild expression of one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. To be able to capture this in a bottle is exciting and satisfying. This beautifully bottle aged Methode Traditionnelle has captured Central Otago. Aromatics are wild herbs, honey comb, a biscuit yeast autolysis characters. The palate is well balanced with lemon, pineapple building to a creamy mid-palate, and tapering off to an elegant finish which simply exudes finesse. Like all great sparkling wines, The Emperor will perfectly match scallops, crayfish, or whitebait.

Fickle Mistress Central Otago Pinot Noir 750ml

The new Central Otago-hailing Pinot Noir is rich red in colour, and accented by dark cherry and blackberry notes. The spirited name for the wine is, according to winemaker Greg Rowdon, a tribute to the fickle nature of the Pinot Noir grape. 'While it's one of the world's most respected and treasured varieties, Pinot Noir has a reputation for being notoriously difficult to grow and vinify, making 'Fickle Mistress' the perfect description,' says Rowdon. But he's quick to assert that although fickle by name, the wine's complex texture and regional characteristics make it anything but fickle in nature.
